We love our brides and consider it an honor to be part of the glam squad on their Big Day. Since hair is arguably your biggest accessory (and right up there with your something blue), it is important that you absolutely love your look, whether it be smooth and sleek, loose and textured, or down and flowing.
Having a hair trial is key, and here are a few simple ways you can ensure a successful trial: 1. Break it down. What are 3 things you like or dislike about the picture? Everyone is typically drawn to the same handful of pictures on Pinterest. We know you have seen them and have most likely already pinned them to your own “Bridal Hair” board! No problem at all, but make sure you can verbalize what it is that drew you to that picture. Be specific. Do you like the twists on the sides, and the height on top, but wish the bottom was a bit higher? Maybe you pick out a picture that you DON’T like and explain what features of the style stand out to you as a no-go – this can be very effective! 2. Come with day-old hair. One day of build up is a good thing. 3. Bring your veil and any hair accessories you will be wearing on your Wedding Day. This way, you can see exactly how the whole look will fit together.

We attended the Indie Beauty Expo last week in NYC to check out all of the new beauty players on the block. Not only were the products amazing, but each brand has an inspiring backstory – either a charitable cause or an uplifting mission.
My favorite brand was Pinch of Colour, a line of waterless products (lipsticks and a highlighter) with some serious color pay off. The brand was created to conserve water and to support sustainability, and part of their proceeds will be donated to related charities. We’re complete product junkies, and we especially love products with a cause. I purchased their Matte Velvet Waterless Lip Colour in Poppy – a fiery coral-red - and I can tell you it certainly won’t be my last purchase from this brand. Because the formulations aren't diluted with water, they're highly saturated with pigment. A single application lasts for HOURS and your lips feel silky-smooth the entire time. It’s also pretty forgiving when it comes to applying – it’s easy to control which is super helpful when working with rich pigments. It's safe to say - I'm obsessed! Check them out on Instagram at @pinchofcolourofficial. OK, I’ve gotta go now…I need to go buy the rest of their line! Welp! 8/30/2016 1 Comment Tips Tuesday!
